Happy Homes Property Maintenance Ltd. – Terms & Conditions of Service

Effective Date: 01/02/25

1. Scope of Services
Happy Homes Property Maintenance Ltd. (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides property maintenance services including but not limited to gardening, landscaping, waste removal, cleaning, pressure washing, weed control, and related services. All services will be carried out with due care, professionalism, and in accordance with industry best practice.

2. Quotations & Bookings
All quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated. Bookings are confirmed upon written acceptance (email, message, or signed form) by the client and subject to availability.

3. Payment Terms

  • Payments must be made in full upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • For ongoing or commercial contracts, payment terms are strictly 14 days from invoice.
  • We reserve the right to charge late payment interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate.
  • Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, debit/credit card, or approved online payment links.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

  • Residential Clients: Bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a £30 cancellation fee.
  • Commercial Clients: Jobs cancelled within 48 hours of scheduled work may incur a fee of 25% of the quoted amount.
  • Rescheduling is free if requested more than 24 hours in advance (subject to availability).
  • In the event of poor weather or health/safety concerns, we reserve the right to reschedule the appointment.

5. Access & Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must ensure clear access to the property and relevant work areas.
  • If access is not possible at the scheduled time, we reserve the right to charge a call-out fee.
  • All pets should be secured and hazardous materials removed prior to our arrival.

6. Waste Removal & Disposal
All green waste and non-hazardous rubbish removed will be disposed of in accordance with UK environmental regulations. Clients will be advised of any additional fees for excessive or unlisted waste prior to removal.

7. Liability

  • We are fully insured for public liability up to £2,000,000.
  • We shall not be held liable for damage to pre-existing defects, unmarked underground services, or areas not disclosed at the time of quotation.
  • Clients are responsible for securing valuables and informing us of fragile or sensitive areas in advance.

8. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, accidents, illness, or labour shortages.

9. Privacy & Data Handling
Client data will be stored securely and only used for the purpose of fulfilling the service agreement, billing, and communication. We will never share client data with third parties without consent, unless required by law.

10. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate ongoing services if the client breaches terms, acts abusively towards staff, or repeatedly fails to pay on time. Ongoing clients may cancel future services with 7 days’ written notice.

11. Agreement to Terms
By accepting our quote, booking a service, or continuing to engage us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
